  1. |What are we?| The brotherhood is, when looked at with ignorant minds and eyes, an either mysteries shrouded fraternity or simply, a Gentlemen's Club. Their original purpose is to shape every individual member as a better person, show him life from another perspective, share a good laugh over a delicious glass of wine, or maybe even a piece of roast suckling boar? It’s philosophy, symbolism, traditions and worthy deeds there’s to be talked about within the circles of the brotherhood. They use symbols of gods, deities and tools. Using this symbolism to teach different morals and ethical lessons of various kinds. They’re all formed on the same codex, following the principles of: Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. However the brotherhoods has origins from the Wihuns and still to this day shares many of their values and ethical thoughts. The Three First. From Third Pillar in the Journal of Rasmia. “The Reformers is a Brotherhood which early origin has been dated back to the discovery of the mystical “Verge”. The Order wasn’t what we know of today, back then, it was much more simple and definitely not as homogeneous as it currently is. It was the first sign of what we know today, and it was the first concept evolved in the aspect of the Reformers. With ethics, morals and strengths proven from the past, The Reformers rose throughout the ages. They are a Brotherhood that tries to upright hold these certain morals and strengths, Through themselves as a group, and through every individual member of Brotherhood. This means that many of those who gets invited into the Brotherhood are often politicians, people who has power, in riches or voice, skilled artists, all adroit in various craftsmanships...” From First Step in the Journal of Lartius After the fall of Aeriel the secrets of life was sworn to be passed down. And so they did, through different means, some in good intention, some with bad chores in mind. Thus, Aeriel proclaimed to speak with them: her voice mighty, her command true. “And you, ascended of myself: You were created through the collapse of a civilization, difference and hatred. Created from the blinding collision between good and evil, Magma and Water. I call down myself, through you. Cause you are truly my posterity. So if you believe me, if you trust me, the charm of the three shall bestow you. With the Aenguls and The Daemons, as your witness. With the Creator as your judge. You have now been consecrated into the mysteries of our symphonies. The meaning of life, the meaning of nature: Shall once again fulfil you.” From “The Beginning Of a Life” The script of Nicolaus. “I see you have a kind heart, my brother, you are to be blessed with wisdom. Open pathways and doors, leading to your true self. You’ll be bestowed tools, tools which will lead you to success, they’re the tools that shall lead you to the end. Hold’em close, to heart, at heart. Cause climbing the Seven Skies, might be a hard task, but not beyond the bounds of possibility. You’re ready.” Within the domestic of the Reformers there’s two main lodges. The Phoenix Lodge “As we all know, the mysterious and fabled creature, The Phoenix, is a bird that is bright red, just as the flames it origins from. It is told that this very bird, holds mystical powers and properties. “Within its grasp the Phoenix got the ability cure wounds and diseases with its own tears and spread kindness and love throughout the world with its song. Of course the Phoenix holds symbolic value, just like every other thing within the Brotherhood. Nothing is unplanned, everything got a purpose. The Phoenixs legend tells us that it dies once a thousand year, as the first morning light touches the birds feathers the Phoenix gets ignited in flames, and howls out its death-song, a single, yet powerful scream. As the Phoenix dies it engulfs itself in fiery flames, and turns into dark ash. And once the world is ready once again, the Phoenix will rise from its own ash, reborn.” The Templar Lodge “The Legend dates back to the beginning of times. The story tells us about The Might that caused the world to take form, as the obscure and dark matter shifted and touched the planes of time and existence. It’s said that the first building the Pure Race were to create was a Temple. To praise the Aenguls, Deamons and their very own Gods. Cause back then, they knew what it meant to live. The Temple was build on top of the tallest mountain, the Pure could ever wish to seek. Cause The Pure believed: that the closer you were to heaven, to the seven skies, the closer you were to the Gods, the Good and the Great. This building was constructed with the peoples bare hands, united as they seeked to finish the task the Aenguls and Daemons had tasked them with. As Brethren, as one people. They worked for days, months, years, placing each perfect stone on top of each other. And one day, they finally established the enormous Temple. Build by their very own hand. Build by their very own, Brethren.” "As the ships sailed Tyret stared at the water, he hadn't seen anything that beautiful in years, his whole childhood had been right out of the Undeads reach, every time they attacked a city, Tyret... Not his family... But Tyret escaped, he lost his sisters and parents in a young age, which sharpened his will to live. As the sun began to fall and the darkness took over, Tyret started to go under deck, small beds were lined up and not many of them were in use. He then spotted two men, sitting in the corner, chatting. Tyret looked at both from head to toe and smiled "Veteran soldiers I see!" Tyret yelled across the room to the two men, having spotted their arms and equipment, waking a couple of people as he trampled across the room. He walked closer to the two people who had stopped talking and instead had started looking at him... They soon became friends.. Or.. As close anyone could get to Tyret, they shared their hate for every living, magically and un-natural thing, the Undeads and whatever had harmed the races of the world. They followed each others paths... Formed their own crusade." As they walked around Asulon with empty stomachs and tired minds they soon found a small cavern, filled with strange symbols and drawings. They took this as a sign and soon they decided to attempt to decipher them, using their philosophy as guide. Magic is tearing on the lives core, every single witch are using some kind of remedy to suck out its powers.. The dark ones, the Undeads, used gold staffs, sucking out the metals pureness... Druids are using nature.. Forming and using its life ressources, destroying what they should protect. It's our duty! To protect our four kins against these threats! Never associate with a witch or any magical being... Eighty years… That’s how long Tyret Wolfgank Farfor, the high Etrith of the Wihuns, prospered. Enemies had been made and allies as well. Followers from across the land had gathered, united fighting the evil, the magic users. But, sometimes, sometimes dreams are taken away from you as fast as they came. After the destruction of Maple Port and the pillage of the grounds where the Wihuns base had once stood, the group fell apart. People fled and seeked shelter wherever they could find roof. The Wihun years were over and even though little seemed to happen, a phoenix is always born from its ashes and always brighter than their last. It is said, that The Reformers roots are from fallen Wihuns. And that. Might very well, be true. The Reformer Ranks The Reformers aren’t like many other organisations or guilds in our world. This is due to the intelligible fact that the Reformers aren’t a guild, nor a organisation. They’re a Gentlemen's Club. Through the decades humanity have fitted itself into hierarchies and structures, the Reformers have observed that and created ranks, as means of understanding each other better. Knowing who’s who and who’s not..? Idealist: You agree with the Reformers, you support them in without taken part in the group, this is simply a way of describing one who’s supportive of the course. Hopeful: When referring to a person who wish to become a Reformer. Redealist: You are a part of the Reformers, you'll be assigned a Reformer, which you will follow to show you the way of the order. Former: You are a member, and the Reformers welcome you. Reformer: You are a trusted member, you have climbed the three steps and your brothers and sisters congratulate you. When a member becomes Redealist, you'll be assigned him or her as your apprentice. Council Member: A group of people, leading the meetings of the Reformers, got the power to banish the Master Reformer if he's getting corrupt, they are also the ones who are putting judging on a traitor or witch who got caught by the Reformers. Reverent Master Former: The seventh rank of the Order, they’re the oldest and wisest people of the Order. They have shown incredible skill within social circles and have done positively brilliant deeds. They are the leaders of the Reformers, holds the power to banish everyone who displeases him or the order in any way. Can only get thrown of the "throne" if all the Council Members and the council goes against him, then he will step back. In case the Master Former dies or disappears, the next in his generation is going take over. In addition to the above mentioned titles. There’s titles within the order. Such as scripter, bench man, pork merchant and ale sir. All of them carry a valid point. And are to be given to trustworthy members of the orders. --- As you become a Reformer you’ll have the right to judge others of inferior ranking, though this must be done in a gentle way. Due to that every Master got a set of rules to upright hold. These will be accepted through the ceremony. --- -The Master Former must be steadfast, trusty and true and render perfect justice to both “workmen” and his apprentice. -The Master Former shall be punctual in his attendance at the general congregation or assembly. -The Master must not take apprentices for less than seven years. -The Master shall not employ a thief or maimed man for an apprentice, but only those who are physically fit, unless he shows incredible skills. -The Master must not employ an immoral person, who's not supportive of the course. -The Master must not undertake to do work which he can not complete. -The Master shall not cause the Former to work at night except in search of knowledge. -The Master must instruct his disciple in everything they are capable of learning. -No Former shall speak evil of his Brethren's work. Prophecies The Gentlemans codex is the tomb of the order, it holds the laws and guidelines every single member has to abide. These rules are never to be changed, nor bended or reformed. It’s the soul and core of the brotherhood They’re what makes sure the brotherhood won’t fall apart and is crucial when it comes to electing new members, as the members will have to agree upon these rules: 1. -The Former must work enthusiastically in working hours that he may lawfully refresh himself in the hours of rest. 2. -The Former must keep the secrets of his Master, his brethren and the lodge faithfully. 3. -No Former must be false to the Order, but maintain all its rules and regulations. 4. -The Former shall never extent lies about the Order. 5. -The Former shall restrain his lust, love and will in “working hours.” 6. -The Former shall be just and true to his Brethren in every way. 7. -The Former shall treat his Brethren with equality and in the spirit of brotherly love. 8. -Contention and strife shall not exist among brethren. 9. -The Former shall caution his Brother kindly about any error into which he may be acting. 10. -The Former must not practice forbidden and unmoral arts. 11. -"The Former must not steal or protect one who does." 12. -The Former must be true to the laws of the Reformers and to "the laws of his Nation." 13. -"The Former must submit to the lawful penalty of any offense he may commit." from “The Sentence Of Death” The extend of Fredfort Lartius. “And with laws and regulations on place, the three Knights walked ahead, they fought against the beasts which lurked in the darkness, enlightened everything they walked by: From the tallest trees to the deepest caverns. And as they had accomplished their task, they bawled in exhaustion, together, cause Brethren they were. “A blessing it is to be, fighting with thee, because YE, have sworn to the three.” And with that said, hanging in cold evening air, they grinned as they continued on, walking past all evil. How to Become a part of the Brotherhood. In order to become a part of the Brotherhood the Idealist will either have to get invited by a member of the brotherhood, or seek two members of the Brotherhood himself, these two members must be Formers within the Order and be able to support the hopeful. Another option may be to send in an application, stating the hopefuls social status and other various things worth noty of said hopeful. The two members which have been contacted, or have contacted the given hopeful is now considered his, so called, guides. They’re the ones, as the name states, the ones that’s going to guide said Hopeful, through the different processes. The ones that’s going to answer his questions, and make sure he doesn’t take the wrong paths. But before all that the two guides will have to see if they sense that the Hopeful is ready. If that is so, the two guides will contact a Master Former and a meeting will occur, there the hopeful will be judged and after that a ‘vote’ from all of the Lodge Formers will take place. This will be behind locked doors and anonymously decided through a simple “yes or no” vote. When the vote is cast, the hopeful will either be a part, or not. If you’re chosen, you will become a Redealist and a so called Golden Scroll will be assigned and send directly to your doorstep. These scrolls contain various tasks or questions the given applicant will have to fulfill. Rumours tells us that it contains various philosophic questions and other “gems” that awaits the new member. These tasks are crucial to have understood when the Redealist seems ready to become a true Reformer. Certain rules are to be kept in mind, if you want to be a part of the Reformers. The rules listed here is requirements that needs to be accepted and ‘true’ for every individual member. -Be a man who comes by his own free will. -Be the minimum age, for a human, 21. For an Elf: 81 and for a dwarf 61. Nevertheless a son of a Master can join the order at his (human years) 18 birthday. (Orcs are allowed into the brotherhood, but never seen done since the gentleman nature doesn’t usually fit an orc.) - Be well seen throughout your nearest community, be of "good morals" and superb reputation. - Be of sound mind and body, neurotic brethren aren’t well seen in social circles. - Believe in something greater than yourself, as this will show that you’re humble. - Be a free man, not owned or marked as a slave. - Be able to adapt different mindsets and understand other ‘beings.’ -Sister Organizations- Since the Order simply is a club, built by men, it’s natural that many side business occur. It isn’t ill seen to create sister organizations, but, in fact, highly recommended, as the Reformers will support said organization if they believe the business will be an advantage for everybody. Another goal of the Brotherhood, which they value high. Is charity. Once a year the Brotherhood looks into their valve and finds out how many spare mina they got, or resources of various kinds. These are often given to charity, such as orphanages, and, or, different medical institutions, Schools and institutes, Churches or theatres. Another thing to be said is that a Former can SURELY be a participant of another Guild or any other gathering overall. As the Formers is only a Club you visit in your ‘spare’ time. This is of course true, only as long as the other guild ain’t conflicting with the goals of the brotherhood If you believe your project would be interesting to the Reformers, feel free to send them a letter. If you happen to send the letter to a lesser ranked former. It IS his duty to tell a Reverent Master about the project. -The Proms- Since it IS a Gentlemans Club, the Reformers all, or well.. Most. Simply adore a piece of art, music or bal. From time to time the Reformers arrange different kinds of bals, all for the joys sake. These are for the most part open to public and every Former will have their chance to invite their loved ones and introduce them to their Brethren. This will also be the wifes chance to get an insight look in what their husbands do in the Club, because normally it’s not allowed to have any ‘non-former’ within the lodges. When it comes to having fun, it’s one of the things most Reformers really do enjoy. Because of that fact, the Reformers will always happily look at any invite for any event. Lot is to be talked about on this matter. But when a prom is arranged a notice will surely be send to every Former. Send by letter is the Formers favored method of contact. Application
