*The whereabouts of Fimlin Grandaxe have been unknown for quite some time. Finally after several decades of no contact, a letter arrives from the Urguani retirement home addressed to the Grandaxe Clan to be dispersed amongst Urguan as a whole.* If you’re reading this now, I’m dead. I’ve been overladen with parchments to write many times, but I warn you all that writing for the last time is of extreme difficulty. I feel that even at this great age there are more stones left to upturn. No matter, while the last chapter is hard to pen I remain grateful to do so on my own terms. To recount now my own status; my brother is dead as are many of mine closest friends. My home, or those I ever had the opportunity to call home are shattered, underwater, all lost to us forever. All this in time comes to the old, I’ve traveled many foreign lands, never without my kin, my brothers. Now there is a great loneliness, to look upon these lands without so many that I know and love by my side. Such is the price of holding on past your time. As such, there is no grief within my heart regarding my ascension to Khaz’a’Dentrumm. My extended lifespan has taught me many important lessons; These worlds are harsh, and offer to our culture great danger, some of which we crave. I recount my days as a young Legionnaire with great pride, we defended our kingdom and the bloodlust I eagerly desired to satisfy was more than satiated. There has never been a greater glory nor feeling of righteousness than protecting our kin. Yet through all the war I have seen, no bloodshed have I witnessed more deranged than kinslay. The joy and eagerness of battle is quick to sour when the only blood spilt is our own. A lesson the old have learned from the horror of years past. Despite the pain of recalling these tales they remain ever essential to guide us all away from bringing about our own ruin. The greatest strength of our people has been the unity of our nation, and that has let us accomplish the impossible. It is only together have we kept the fires that light our halls burning bright, and that is my charge to you my kin; keep our braziers alight with the warmth of our united families. I have tried many times to pen all else that I’ve left unsaid onto this letter, but it is clear to me now I have in good faith and in the eyes of the Brathmordakin already imparted all wisdom I possessed within me. The burdens that have kept me pacing the halls for so countless years have been lifted by you, my kin. I see in our youth a kindled fire that warms the hearths of our proud Grand Kingdom that in centuries past I could never have imagined. It has been over a century since my retirement and while those years have not always been warm nor kind to our people, mine own faith is unwavering. There are always those who see great difficulty and claim that The End has come, but I assure you my kin, Dwedkind endures, always. Brathmordakin guide you all, Fimlin Grandaxe *All of Fimlin’s personal belongings also accompany the letter, addressed to Thazzaer Grandaxe* [I have played this character since Spring of 2013, he is my first character, and the first character I've ever PK'd, RIP]
