Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. An old hag raises her head at the back of the tent, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—” Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example:
"Good day to thee," the smell reminded Fire of a certain past, causing chills up his spine. As soon as that shudder ran into his stomach, Fire regained a distorted fragment of seeing the old hag after hearing those legends from the tavern, cautiously peering into many of the conversations we may have and future quests. Fire then felt grateful to have found her at a time like this. He pondered and began to ask questions he had saved up. The old hag cackled a breath of amusement. Answering her question, "What concern is it of thine? I heard you needed assistance. I came to this town to go on an adventure." She replied, "Is that so? You truly believe you are up to the task?" "It is a long story to tell.."
Personality / Backstory:
Fire is a Hunter/adventurer who honed skills under an impressionable mentor in his hometown. He has high resilience. But a heart of gold is susceptible to manipulative tactics. He makes up for it with his adaptability and analytical mindset. Asking questions first but doing their homework beforehand to prepare for the worst. Fire often seeks companionship among those friends, although it has a bravado face to spark inspiration for the people. His parents were good people and loved him dearly but after their deaths (unknown, they might find out in the future). His mentor took him in and taught him knowledge of the world that many have hidden from. (Ghosts, Nephilim, etc.) He seeks more knowledge and aims to help those who are innocent. (The story might need a rewrite, but I'll brainstorm one better later. Also, the race might not be human, but with my skin, I can't find the skin schematics, but it looks like this. The tie does not fit the theme, but I hope it's a bypass or not too much of an issue.)
