Although I am eager to move on and explore the city, I choose to humor the eccentric gentleman’s request. “I’ve heard this city is known for its weapons, I’m looking to buy a claymore. Would you, by chance, know any merchants who could sell me one?” The gentleman lights up, as though there was a correct answer, “What a coincidence! I know a traveling Haenseti merchant who carries weapons of all sorts.” I blatantly show my disappointment. The man then asks “What exactly was it about what I said that troubles you?” I candidly reply “better I go into battle unarmed than ever give money to the Haenseti.” The man chuckles to me and says “so be it, I guess. To each their own, right?” Content with where the conversation has ended off, we choose to part ways after shaking hands. Even without the Haenseti merchant, I already see many a vendor whose wares I can peruse.
