Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"My experience costs money lady... but... I come here for coin." He pauses "Opportunity... that's why I'm here, the air is fresh and the buildings are poor, don't you see what we can do here? .......No?..... Well you're just blinded by reality to see the future."
The bar sat silent
"I don't think you understand ma'am, do you know what runs empires?"
"Their soldiers? Their kings? Their lawmakers?"
"Ofcourse not!"
A confused murmur stirred amongst the crowd
"It's who controls the resources and wealth"
"Trade, finance, farming, mining, all of these things make kingdoms! The army is only good as its logistics, and the logistics are only as good as the people..... I've said too much, I only teach this for money..."
He looks around "God damn it where's Bogif? I'll see you later my friend's missing."
