    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you may learn something out of character which your character in roleplay would not know, and you make your character know about what you learned out of roleplay. For example, someone learns that their character was betrayed out of character by a close friend of the character, then when they log in, they roleplay as if they know all about it and as if they learned via roleplay but they just took some from out of character context and put it into their roleplay.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when you roleplay in an unfair way. When you are in a fight during roleplay and you say, the heavens open up and an army of angels come to destroy all your characters foes, that is powergaming. Or when you are instantly brilliant and magic without learning it or unbeatable with a sword. You ruin the fun for everyone, no one is invincible.
