    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using OOC knowledge to give advantages to in game characters.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Overpowering a certain character that makes unrealistic and unfair gameplay.

His name is Ferdinand. He is a quick study and has many attributes. He lives by many principals that make sure that he doesn’t fall out of line even during the most troubling of times. For example, if a High Elf produces an offspring to anyone other than his race.. they are considered “impure” and shall be exiled from the city. He takes his principles to heart and when that is threatened, there won’t be an acceptable chance that good will come out of it. He is very self righteous and will speak out about how he feels towards a situation. This can be borderline good or bad depending on the topic at hand.  He may be skinny but don’t let that deceive you, he is very skilled in hand to hand combat. However, his favorite style is manipulating people into getting what he wants despite keeping up this “high and mighty” persona.

Physical Description: I have long ears, technically blonde hair with brown highlights and the golden tint to my fair skin. I also have blue eyes. 6 Feet.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

  • Your Meta-gaming definition is incorrect. Please try to better convey the correct definition in your own words.
  • Your Power-gaming definition is incorrect. Please try to better convey the correct definition in your own words.
  • Your Backstory possesses the required one to two references to LotC lore, however it is more structured like the start of a story about High Elves, rather than the backstory for a unique character. Please rewrite it such that it is better fitting this parameter.
