    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is using out of character information for InCharacter Knowledge. A prime example of this is overhearing from discord or other third party sties that a raid is taking place on your residence so you quickly build up defenses in order to stop them
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is when you attempt to do something outside of the physical limits of reality, this can range from trying to rip off a door single handidly to doing a 3 way beheading sweep with a sword.

I was born in the City of Renatus, I was raised as any other child growing at a slightly accelerated pace. I was taught to speak full sentences at the age of 3 and to be able to comprehend most passages at the age of 5. By the time I had turned 13 I had achieved academic scholars when I decided I wanted to serve the nobles who ran our people with dignity and grace. When I brought this up to my Father a few years later we both agreed upon sending me to a Butler school in Haense. There I was taught the ways of servitude, but as well as being taught how to serve the realized I had a great aptitude for protecting. The school saw fit to dual enroll me with their body guard classes as well teaching me how to not only provide the upmost service but the best protection as well. I spent many years there the first were very difficult with me being very clumsy and having all the incorrect mannerisms that a proper servant should. As the many years wore on, I learned how to properly speak as well as how to address the nobles and how to serve the most delicious substance in the world Tea.  Though, that was only half of the training I received while at the school. I was also taught the way of the sword and hand to hand combat, not only this I had graduated second in my class to this being beat by none other than the schools top child who happened to be the curators grand child. I am now 25 and leaving my days at the school to find the noble who is worthy of my protection and service.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

  • The town of Halsworthy existed in the Kingdom of Lorraine-Savoy, a map named Axios. Unfortunately no longer exists on LotC. This town has not existed for around 1 irl year, and as such your character is too young to have existed during this time.
