How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of taking knowledge you might know, but your character had no possible means of knowing, and using it to create a situation which does not make sense within the roleplaying scenario. For instance, if I were to see that a war was being launched via Discord, but my character was far away from where the war was taking place, I could not have my character rush back without a proper, logical reason.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the act of trying to manipulate the rules of roleplaying to make your character unreasonably powerful. For instance, if someone were to slash at my character, they could not determine the outcome via Emote, as this would be forcing an outcome. Or if I were to suggest my character was immune to some spell for a reason that is not well-established in the roleplay, it would be powergaming.

**Eirik looks visibly annoyed, so he tries to mask his frustration with the gentleman and push forward.

"Not much of a talker are you? Well I can sense you have places to be, things to do, so tell me stranger, what drives you so quickly on?"

Sighing due to the futility of his actions, "If ya really must know, I am 'ere in the city to become inspired by the monuments. Buildin' is my passion ya see?"*

"Ah, such a strange sight then... a dwarf who wants to reach the heavens with his creations!"

**Sensing the man's almost cynical tone, Eirik gives him a perplexed glare, attempting to intimidate the man.

"Nothing wrong with that of course!" The man quickly adds to avoid making Eirik more angry, since the scar on his face seems to be menacing on its own.*

"Might I ask you your name sir?"

"Eirik"

"An uncommon name around here, to be sure. What about the scar on..."

"Eirik Scareye... The scar is a mistake from a bygone time."

"I see... Well Mr. Scareye, I am a mere merchant here, selling my wares. Come find me if you want to browse or purchase anything!"

**Eirik's glance says what his lack of words cannot, he is certainly not coming back.

**The merchant awkwardly smiles to break the tension.

**Eirik walks away, chuckling about the merchant he was sure was trying to sell him some unnecessary knick-knack. City dwellers always amused Eirik growing up with their strange obsessions.

**Eirik shoots one last confused and hurried look at the gentleman.

"Goodbye sir! Enjoy your time in the city!"

**Eirik says nothing, awkwardly leaving the bazaar... for now

Question regarding building!: No you are not able to build wherever you like, the nations and settlements of Lord of The Craft are protected by things called regions - you have Region owners of those certain nation boarders that keep on top of giving out permissions to those certain areas if you, let's say, live in that nation. You will be given region permissions to make minor edits to any homes you may have been given.
