Screaming. Like how anyone is born, aye? From the mother, from the baby, from the father who's hand was held too tight.
Born to a small band of highlanders, and perhaps a spattering of other races, in the year 1634. This band would meander across Axios for quite a few years, largely unaffected by the wars raging across the lands- Indeed, actively avoiding them. This band wasn't your typical marauding type, raiding it up across the countryside. No, this group would spend it's years making a quiet living among the land, largely cut off from other peoples, though news would of course get to them from time to time.
Simon's 'family' would, of course, teach him the essentials to life. Hunting animals and skinning them with his father, gathering herbs and mashing them into medicine with his mother. Both giving him the gift of a good heart. He'd be about nine before the migration to Atlas occured, and after a few years of staying behind on Axios, his family band would join the rest of the world upon the new lands, taking up refuge in the Spring Hills.
Upon Simon's fourteenth year on this world, his family would endure it's first battle, a group of bandits ravaging the band- Though ultimately being warded off, once Simon's father had managed to set one of the fools ablaze by pushing him into the campfire, causing the rest to scatter. These attacks would come four more times in the coming years, and each time the group fared better. They'd arm themselves with whatever the bandits left behind, or whatever they could peel off of the ones who didn't survive, Simon gaining his trusty Pole-axe in this manner, and piecing together a set of armor that worked well for him. With time, the band would get better at simply avoiding bandits altogether, and life would be peaceful.
Simon's family continued like this, living for quite some time upon the lands. Slowly, however, the band would break apart, people leaving to forge their own paths, Simon would eventually be left with just his parents. And eventually, he would leave them, never again seeing them, but knowing- Or at least, hoping, in his heart of hearts, that they were safe and sound, somewhere in the world.
The transition to the lonesome life wasn't an easy one. Simon had always had backup whilst with his family, and the trials of the road weighed heavily upon him. He'd come upon bandits, wild dogs, and more. He'd fix himself up well enough, his mother taught him much about medicinal herbs, and the bandages he managed to tear from the clothes of the bandits he took down would keep the poultices packed on tight to heal his wounds. Slowly but surely, Simon would become a strong, independant man.
Simon would soon come upon the city of Haense, and begin to try and set his talents to use, in an attempt to integrate with society.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

((How does your character respond? Please ensure your response is at least six sentences long, and uses at least two actions.))

Example: (delete this when you add your own)

"Oh, I just, uh…" The traveler stutters, tensing up. They eye the crone, then back outside the shack. For a moment, the air thickens with anticipation, until…
