Born as the first child to his mother Teresa and his father Christopher He lived a happy childhood in the Kingdom of Norland. When Roland turned six his father left to adventure around the world to see new sights and learn new things but was never seen afterward and everyone assumes he is dead. when he turned 8 he started working as a hunter to care for his mother but realized that he was having fun learning how to hunt and exploring the forest while at the same time he is starting to get an education with the money he is earning. With work and school, he does not have much time for friends. 5 years later Teresa becomes ill but they do not have the money to get medicine to heal her so Roland works hard to keep her alive day to day while saving money to buy her medicine. On Roland's 18th  birthday he was coming home from work and his mother called him to her room and asked him a question " Roland my dear boy" She says meekly " What is your dream, What do you want to do", You see before this moment Roland had never thought about it he was simply too busy so after thinking it over and thinking about his first time hunting when he was 8 the pure joy he felt he told his mother " I want to travel the world, to see sights and to learn new skills". He was scared to tell her this because after Christopher left they never talked about him but Roland didn't want to lie to the most important person in his world. His mother waited and said to him "Roland if you want to do what your father did then I ask one thing. I ask that you live and come back here when you're done" "I promise mother" He says and at that moment Teresa Aod who should've died many years before passed away with a content smile on her face. Roland then used all of his money to bury his mother and decided to start his adventure around the world.
