Lachlan Galloway (born c. 35 S.A.) is a Red Faith pilgrim and villager. The elder son of two highlander parents, he spent most of his childhood outdoors at a remote village in between some remote mountains.
During that time, he received basic education on how to farm and act with honour. Such an education would've been given by two Red Faith monks, in charge of teaching every kid in town. It is said the residents of the village were very pious in their faith. As such, their interpretation of the "Unworthy" & the "Long Dark" consists of not only those defined by the Orthodoxy, but in addition, anybody who broke rural society's strict moral code.
Thus, a former friend of Lachlan, Iliain, was executed on the spot after having been caught sneaking into a villager's abode. As a result, Lachlan came to understand that one's honour must be protected at all costs, even if doing so involves following rigorous rules.
Following that, the highlander learnt how to farm and tend to animals, working hard during his late teens on the village's farmstead. A few years later, he reached maturity of age. As per the village's law, all young adults must perform pilgrimage to strengthen their faith and honour, which leads us to the present day.
Lachlan stands tall as the breeze of the bustling city's winds rains down upon him. He sees a market at a distance and walks into it. As he does so, a well-dressed gentleman approaches him and goes on with his babbling. Upon finding himself in front of such an individual, his instinct would be to look to his sides to see if there was anybody trying to rob from him. Taking note of the fact there were none, he goes on to reply in his thick accent. This meant he'd instantly place that dressed guy inside the 'honorless' box. "None o' yer business. Weel, ah shall let it be kent that ah'ament interested in anythin' ye hae tae sell, nor in antics lik' thae. Ah wull pray fur ye th' nicht, sae that yer soul kin be saved." Lachlan had already moved on before the man could even reply. Whether or not he did, he didn't know. {Cities ur sae stowed oot o' honorless scum, so much ah mist tread aroond wi' care.} With that, his journey kicked off.
