    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is a term in role-playing games where you create a character in the game you would control, with that character having no knowledge of that world to the extent that you do. For example, if player A received information from player B via voice chat that an enemy was planning to steal an item from player A, then player A acted in advance and set up a trap for the enemy, player A would be Metagaming as he was using information he received out-of-character to decide his in-character actions.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is simply put, forcing an action/outcome onto another player. But also allowing the other players time to respond to their emote & decide the outcome of their actions. Using words like attempt or tries, and imply your intention for your character's actions. For example: Player 1 attempts to punch Player 2. Player 2 attempts to dodge. Player 1 tries to grab Player 2 with the other hand. Player 2 is caught.
