Living her years in the Dominion of Malin, Claire Helemyar had always been taught to think herself as superior from other beings. It is already common for High Elves themselves to be pretty prideful about themselves and thinking themselves a superior, but Claire might be even above that level. Although she may not be as powerful as other High Elves she thinks herself as superior to just about any male. Claire believes that everyone is either attracted to her or jealous about her good wit and beauty.  A lot of her decent personality is over shaded by her excess of  vanity, but if one gets to know one can look through all of that "excess pride" and see her insecurities. For instance, when alone or with close friends, she often complains about how she looks which is completely the opposite of what she normally acts when around strangers. It could easily be said that she is pretty used to lying about herself about almost everyday at every time.
