Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"My Story...? As if it mattered anyways, it's in the past. You however...should explain to me what an old lady such as you is doing hanging around a desolate village" He looks at the old lady straight, showing no emotion except cunning, he analyzes every wrinkle on her face and hands as if trying to find out her intentions.
"I am an old woman, Silvain. I don't have time to waste unlike you hahaha" She smiles warmly at him.
"How did you know my...?" Silvain responds
"I know quite a lot of things young man. Now, how about you tell me what brings you here." Her gaze becomes serious, as if hiding some truth.
"Uh, well I came here to look for some oracle, before being banished from my house I read that there's an oracle in this village." Sylvain stated
"Indeed, there is, you're looking at her!" the old lady smiles. "What house did you belong to young man?"
"Riquetti of Numendil, I am the only heir as my family was dismantled post my banishment" He informed; a look of melancholy on his face as he said so
"And young man, where are you living now?" the oracle asked.
"I am now a citizen of Petra, I've been living there since I was 15" he spoke
Indeed, Silvain was banished from his home at the mere age of 14 due to being framed for his cousin's (Aira) death and the fact that his aunt took over power from his father. Silvain wandered the lands for a year before entering Petra and deciding to clear his name to find the perpetrators behind his cousin's death.
