    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Where a player forces actions onto another player's character. "Sam stabbed Rachel in the chest as the girl looked at him in betrayal", this means that the player had made up another player's actions for Rachel/Sam

Lenna was born and raised just on the outskirts of Irrinor in a forest cabin. Both her parents were skilled hunters and were very kind and loving people. Lenna often went into Irrinor with her mother to shop and such and fell in love with all the travellers that she met and saw from off in the distance. She knew then that she had to travel around all of Atlas once given the chance. Her parents, however, did not like her plans and wanted her to stay with them until she was 50.

Once Lenna turned 16, she began to plan a way she could leave her over-protective parents and get out to see the world. Gaining the help from a childhood friend, Lenna was soon able to find a way to run away from home and get out of Irrinor and, he day after she turned 18, their plan worked and she 'escaped' from her home, leaving to start her very own journey.

Lenna is a very skilled archer, however, she prefers an approach where violence isn't needed. She is good with people of all races and it is obvious that she is very proud of being a Wood Elf. Although grateful that she'll be able to practically see everything that Atlas has to offer, Lenna secretly wishes that she didn't have such an incredibly long life-span, afraid of watching her mortal friends perish from her life. She is also very religious, having complete faith in the two gods of her culture, Cerridwen and Cernunnos, and is often heard saying "By the Gods!" if she's shocked or scared suddenly.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Hello, friend!

I enjoyed reading your Application and am glad to see you've read over LoTC lore! I have set your application to Pending

 

While I found your application to be beautiful and am proud of it, I noticed a few details I'd like to see changed:

 

 

-I'd like you to look over our rules one more time and further explain the definition of Metagaming. While you explained the idea of it, I'd like to see a more developed summary on the rule.


-Your first interesting fact does not quite make sense - Characters do not start with knowledge on magic -- And that is not how Druidism works, anyways.

 

-You do not need to change this, but I'd like to point it out. Elves are cursed with infertility, and succesfully having a child is rare, let alone twins. You may keep this in your character backstory, however for more realism I recommend you modify it to having two younger brothers. This is not that important, though; And do not feel pressured to change it.

 

 

Please make the necessary changes by using the Edit button on this post, and do not make a new application.

Thank you so much for paying attention to my concens and making the necessary changes. There is still one thing I'd like you to improve, however.


Read over the definition of Metagaming thoroughly. Your definition is still off, unfortunately. 

 

Please edit this Application with the necessary fixes and I will look over it again.
