    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is when someone uses OOC knowledge to their own benefit, especially when there is no way for their character (in rp) to have known.
    Example: Character A is part of a secret gang. Character B, who has never been in the area before, immediately recognizes them and the gang.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when someone makes their character invincible or immune to whatever happens simply because they want to.
    Example: Character A has Character B pinned down with a knife. No permission is given to kill but Character B "somehow" flips both of them over and runs away with no chance of response from Character A.
