Bharus Emberhorn was born in Urguan, to a relatively poor family. Bharus was a social child, making many friends in his youth. After growing to an astounding 4'11, he decided to follow in his father's footsteps and become a soldier. Bharus excelled in the soldier life, quickly becoming a promising warrior, wielding the axe his father handed down to him. Shortly after he finished his training, he met Khutrala Emberhorn, the love of his life. The two hit it off smoothly, and within two years, a child was born. Khuras Emberhorn, his name derived from both of his parents, was born a healthy baby. The three would live a relatively peaceful life for the next 25 years, when the three would take a journey to Norland to celebrate Khuras' 25th birthday. Khuras had always been interested in the world, and had been trying to get his family to allow him to go to a human city for months. On the return journey however, disaster struck. While on the journey home, Bharus noticed the road ahead blocked by what appeared to be a fallen tree. When he left his cart to go inspect it, a small group emerged from the trees. three orcs, no doubt attempting to rob the travelers of anything they could. Bharus was a trained soldier, however, and he took the fight to the orcs before they could engage. Surprising one with a quick strike to the neck, Bharus began a fight with the remaining two orcs, who seemed relatively untrained. It took him only a couple minutes to dispose of those two, but when he turned back to the cart, a horrific sight filled his eyes. A fourth orc had slipped away to the cart, presumably to collect the valuables. Before Bharus could do anything, the orc discovered Khuras and Khutrala hiding in the cart, and with a sneer, he stabbed both of them with fatal wounds. Hearing his wife and child's screams, Bharus entered a rage, and took the orc's head clean off of his shoulder's with his axe. Losing the two people he cared for most, Bharus did not know what to do with his life, until one day he decided to live the life his son wanted, and travel the world as a merchant, yet he always wore the armor he wore on the day his family was killed, as a way to honor them.
