Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Michael’s gaze sharpens, steady and controlled as he begins. “I was born into a world where power was everything, but it was never given freely. From an early age, I saw how those in control shaped the lives of everyone beneath them. I moved through their circles, learning their games, but I never truly belonged. I wore the mask they expected, hiding my true intentions and desires.”
He leans forward slightly, voice low and measured. “I learned to speak with careful words, to watch and wait. Trust was a luxury I could not afford. Betrayal was something I encountered often, and I learned to use it as a tool, a weapon to protect myself and push forward.”
Michael’s eyes narrow, reflecting a quiet fire. “I was the unseen hand guiding events, moving pieces in a game far larger than most could comprehend. But that life was not enough. I realized that to change my fate, I had to stop playing by their rules.”
He straightens, voice gaining strength. “Now I seek a new path, one forged by my own will. I am here to build a legacy that will not be forgotten, to claim a power that cannot be taken from me. This is not just survival, it is a revolution born of patience, strategy, and relentless purpose.”
