Belkis Bluesong was initially born in the previous capital of the Holy Orenian Empire, Helena. At age 7, she and her parents moved to Providence as soon as it was founded and established as the new capital, in hopes of new opportunities for them. Her father was a well-off musician, therefore Belkis lived a middle-upper class lifestyle and remained in Providence for the rest of her childhood. Though she was raised to be a domestic woman of the household, she was well educated and able to develop a hobby of music thanks to her father, to which she fell in love with. She became proficient in the piano and the harp, though her favorite instrument to play is the violin. While she enjoyed her lifestyle and home, Belkis felt that something was amiss in her life, and she believes that it is her overprotective parents robbed her of her opportunities. Her parents had been protective of Belkis since they had moved to Providence due to the raids that occurred until 1801. Belkis wants to branch out and travel the realms as an aspiring musician and bard, much like her father had done before her. At age 18, she left her household with nothing but some money, some rations and her trusty violin. Though she is very book smart and well mannered throughout, Belkis is oblivious to the many cultures outside her own, primarily the many races of elves and dwarves. While she's nowhere near her dream, hopefully making some friends and exploring far off lands will at the very least make her become a stronger version of herself.

Belkis stumbled left and right as she attempted to maintain her balance off of the boat. After her first journey by sea and a couple moments leaning over the sides of the boat in fear of losing her lunch, she was relieved that her feet finally touched the solid floors of the dock. She paused and brushed off any excess dirt on her dress, though the act was pointless as she spent the majority of her journey nestled in the dusty, dirty corners of the ship. Belkis couldn't help but jolt at the man's greeting, quickly clutching onto the skirt of her dress with tight fists. Her shoulders relaxed when she found the source of the voice, letting out a quick sigh of relief.
"Ah- p-pardon me good sir- I-I'm just passing by..." Belkis stammered out, not wishing to start talk with the stranger. However, as she finally processed her surroundings, the bustling markets and people, her eyes widened in awe of the vast diversity of cultures and activities.
"Er- Unless you care t-to tell me where I am..? I suppose it wouldn't hurt to stick around..."
