for as long as she can really remember, Attie has been a maid. from growing up and being forced to care for her 3 other siblings, to getting a job as a maid for a rich family soon after leaving home. currently 21 years old (as of april 19th) she works for various families as a house cleaner and a nanny. back in her younger years, she was the eldest sibling to three others (Oliver, two years younger, Nancy, a few months younger, and Oscar, five years younger.) and often babysat them while her single mother worked late into the night- at least that's what she was supposed to be doing. Attie's mother was a tramp, bouncing from man to man after her husband died. she doesn't remember much of her father, only knowing he was a noble merchant who worked hard to provide for the family. he was a short man with brownish auburn hair just like Attie.
being an almost-mother to her siblings, she learned how to cook and clean from an early age. it was one of her father's friends who gave her the thought of working as a maid. upperclass families paid more than enough to supply for one person. when Nancy had gotten married (mother approved) at the age of 17 and left the house for good, Attie taught her brothers how to look after themselves and began working for people.
at 18, she was out of the house but still returning to socialize with her brothers. she had found a man who was tall and strong, one who worked in the mines day after day but still cut time from his sleeping to visit her at the local pub. he had many plans, most of which included leaving the town of Ruriksgrad which they both lived in. nights went fast and soon he had proposed to her- to which she declined kindly. a few months after, Attie had been found pregnant but did not want the child. instead of contacting the father, who she didn't even know where to find, she went to her mother in hopes of relief and guidance. her mother sent her away with a very stern and angry note, but Attie wouldn't be one to change her mind. in her loving nature it would be hard for her to give up her child, but after giving birth she left it with her grandmother who promised to raise it.
fast forward to now, she lives alone in Southwood
Attie is a very kind person, generous and welcoming to anyone she meets. she has learned to be submissive and quiet, and listens keenly to people talking. through her kindness she can be quite sarcastic and witty, but her temper is also very short (even if she doesn't always voice her anger or opinions.)
