    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is the abuse of outside information which the player does not have access to in-character to gain an advantage. An example could be reading a document online that the roleplay character would not have access to and taking advantage of that information in RP.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the abuse of unrealistic actions which the player would not normally be able to do in order to gain an advantage in some aspect or another. An example could be killing another player instantly without the opportunity for any retaliation.

Alanis smiles pleasantly at the man, though a bit unsure at why he was singled out.  Perhaps it was his appearance, so reminiscent of the self-important High Elves of Haelun'or or perhaps he had been marked as easy prey for some sort of scam.  Regardless, those were just assumptions and there was no need to be rude to a friendly man.
