    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is where you make in-character decision, influenced or manipulated by information gathered outside of roleplay. For example if you were informed that your village had been pillaged through a friend on Discord, then you got on and were completely aware of what happened, this would be metagaming.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is where you make character decision which are completely unfair and overpowered. For example, if your character was affiliated to royalty (without permission), this would be powergaming.

"Well that is rather grand, my friend - I am a the greatest merchant to bless this place, the name is Lupuis Belarin." "My name is Alexander, it is a pleasure to meet you. "The pleasure is all mine" He quickly followed up. He puts his arm around me; "You seem like a good man, my friend. If you ever need something appraised or want to buy quality wares, my shop is over yonder" He points to a large building. "It would be a pleasure to do business with a future leader." "I will make sure to check it out once I get settled" I respond. He unwraps his arm from my over my shoulder and waves, walking away.
