Early years: The Royal City of New Reza, the epicentre of diplomatic affairs within the Kingdom of Haense is where Alexander grew up. His family consisted of himself, his mother (a beautiful, humble, working-class woman), his little sister, Slyvia, who Alex mostly saw as an annoyance growing up and his half-brother Koi, the result of an affair his mother had with a nobleman. He had very few friends, as in Reza, there are very few children- but there was one or two who Alex was close with, a childhood friend Kuro, whom he would visit almost every day like clockwork and the son of the local blacksmiths, Joseph; someone who Alex would not see often but very much enjoyed the company of. Alex appreciated his small circle of those who he considered family a lot, especially his half-brother, who would teach Alex swordsmanship and diplomacy from time to time. For the most part, Alex was self-educated, but if he didn't know something he would pester an old lady name Freyja, who he considered to be a genius and his teacher. Teenage years: Throughout Alex's teenage years, he would visit The Bastion Tower a lot. He peered off into the distance to try and spot the Principality of Rubern; he thought it looked so far away but reachable at the same time. As Alex began forming into a man, he would develop a romantic relationship with Kuro, only after the years of reciprocated feelings being undisclosed from each other. Although, Alex would allow himself to be romantically involved with a local lords daughter, unbeknownst to his lover; Kuro. This slowly put a strain on Alex's relationships and eventually, he ended up losing Kuro, his childhood friend and lover. This was around the time that Alex's half-brother was conscripted for something now known as the "Three Months' War." Against Alex's wishes, Koi was forced to attend - he lost his life in the pursuing battles. This caused Alex to fall into a pit of regret and misery, feeling guilty for his brother's untimely demise. His mother fell apart, feeling the agony of losing her child. She stopped attending work and the responsibility of funds fell upon Alex and Slyvia. Through his relationship with the local lord's Daughter, he secured a position serving as a butler within the Palace of Ekaterinburg - although this would not secure enough money to live off of. These were the hardest times for Alex. An end came to the draught felt by the family, Slyvia married herself off to a noble, securing a good source of income. Alex couldn't bear it any longer and left shortly after his 16th birthday. Present: After his grieving, Alex made a promise to never allow anything to be taken from him again. To never allow himself to feel powerless nor incapable. After his short tenure as a butler, he came out as we find him now - a deceitful, power-hungry but quick-witted and educated diplomat.
