You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Example: "my story? hahaha i have no story." he said with a smile, knowing that the tragic tails of his village have traveled. "i umm" he said, his smile turning to a frown. "my story is that of the village in the mountains." a tear dripping down his face shined through the dim light before dropping onto the old and rotting wood planks. "bandits came an destoryed everything" at this point Edmund's face was covered with tears. but still trying to keep his composure he said "poisoned our water and food, killed our people. burned our houses." the tears turned to anger and hatred for the bandits. whiping his face of the tears, he then said "I and some others escaped, but most where unsuccsessful. like my parents..." his head was shaking holding back a avelance of tears. Edmund's face got even paler before eventually saying goodbye to her and leave the old decrepid house. even though it didnt feel good in the moment, edmund felt happier than he ever did.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: to avoid power gaming i will emphisize the authenticity of my character anbd his abilities. being a young adult he will be weaker and wouldnt do these impossible feats. this also means that my character is meant to not drag anyone with him. everything i do will be open ended leading for others to say if what i did was posible or if i failed.this should in theory create a space where I could not be "powergaming" or be in any role of athority of myself and others.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: meta gaming will lead to disruption in fair roleplay because you and your charcter are not the same person, given that the player will have the knowledge gained to then go and say "my character already knew because of..." it also leads to imbalances in the roleplay because of one player knowing what is going to happen but the other one doesn't.
