    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It's using OOC information ICly, for example, someone told me a name of a character over discord and I act as if my own character knew that.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Doing things that are unrealistic, for example, jumping 5000ft up, punching like Hulk, etc.

Elidyr, son of Kheradil, was born in Laurelin. His father had a gift of an archery skill, he trained every day while Elidyr watched him as a young elf and Elidyr was to learn the skill of archery from him when he got older. Elidyr’s mother died of an unknown disease, Elidyr never got to know her. After his mother's death, he was taken outside the city by his father where they lived for many years. Only when Elidyr grew up, he understood that he was taken out of the city because the humans of the kingdom of Oren taken his city, his father never talked about it. During that time Elidyr scavanged around the forrest and was helping his father with everything he needed.

Years passed and Elidyr grew to be a strong elf. He scouted the areas of where he lived and finally decided it is time for him to forge his own path. Elidyr left his father in the forrest and he himself started the journey to find his purpose.

Character Age: 180
Physical Description: Athletic build, always dressed in green(ish) leather armor, brown hair, light blue eyes. He's around 185 cm tall and weights 80kg., small scar on face
Roleplay Scenario:

Elidyr stops for a brief moment before the gentleman, inspecting his robes. As he suspiciously looks at the person if front of him, he speaks “A gentleman dressed so well approaches a wandering elf, I think this is no coincidence” looks around before speaking again “Get to the point”.

  • In your character’s backstory, you mention how your father’s dad could hit any target with a bow, and your character is trying to learn this skill. This is setting up to be a situation of powergaming. I’m going to ask that you change this part of your story.
  • You write that your character is 300, and was born in Laurehlin. Laurehlin was a province of Oren during the realm of Athera, which your character is a little too old for this to be possible and line up with our current dates. I’m going to ask you to lower your age if you wish your character to have been born in Laurehlin. Below, I will link a wiki page that will have some dates to help you set when exactly your character was born, should you wish for it to continue being in Athera.
  • Finally, your skin does not quite meet our standards. Below, I will provide a link to our skin archive, where you can find a variety of free skins to use made my members of the community. Additionally, if you join our New Player Discord, you have the option of requesting a skin be made for you, to your exact specifications for free.
