Arbanza Benlolo is beset with a heavy case of amnesia. The earliest memory he can recall is waking up on the shore of a cape north-east of Haense, surrounded by scraps of boards and a couple washed up corpses.
Glancing at the dark clouds in the distance accompanied by the occasional faint rumble of thunder, it didn't take long to guess what had happened to him. As far as he could tell, he was on board what was once a ship before it was caught in the storm. Looking at the faces of what he presumed were the ship's crew didn't bring back any of the memories from before he awoke. No matter how hard he tried to remember,
all he could recollect were a few arbitrary pieces of his past, his name being one.
After staring at the corpses long enough to make Arbanza begin to feel ill, he ventured into the nearby forest seeking any sort of aid he could find. With nothing on his person except for the tattered clothes he wore, he could do nothing but wander aimlessly hoping to find something that could turn his situation around. After many hours of wandering, and being chased up a tree to escape a greymane boar, he came across a run down cabin that was used, he presumed, as a warm up shack during the winter. Inside, what little furniture there was was flipped and signs of animals having been inside were evident from the scratch marks scattered throughout. A small sum of minas scattered the floor and on the wall hung a set of peasant's clothes which were promptly swapped for the rags he wore.
As Arbanza left the cabin he noticed an overgrown path that leading away from the cabin, not having any better leads he followed along. Hours later he came upon a clearing to a large road connecting to a bridge to the south. Walking across and heading where the road lead him he found himself in Ves, where he promptly bought what little food he could afford with what little minas he had. Having his hunger temporarily satisfied and no extra money, Arbanza sought out work where he could find it. Although not very picky, being an adrenaline junkie pointed him in the direction of any mercenary companies hiring.
Arbanza comes out of thought and stares blankly at the man.
“To find myself, whether it be in solitude, battle or elsewhere. Although I’d really rather prefer to not find myself getting stabbed in a dingy alley by a man in a suit today, thanks.”
Arbanza carries on walking past the man, already back in his thoughts, ignoring the man’s reply.
