I'm a young elf whose parents abandoned me as soon as I became old enough to fend for myself. We haven't talked in many years and I avoid saying their names. I have a little brother, but he is venturing around the world and I haven't seen him in many years. Because of this I can be kind of shy and usually keep to myself, even though I really want to make friends and have community. I've been living in the woods foraging most of my life and am ready to settle into a small house. I'm trying to find a good path in life, but don't have many friends. As an elf, I want to get better at bow and arrow, so that I can take care of myself and gain materials to share with others - and protect myself from spiders of which I am very afraid.
Read the scenario below this box and type out inside of this box how your character might respond. You must show an understanding of quoted dialogue and exposition throughout the scenario.
"Hello. Thank you for your kind greeting." [I hesitate for a moment, as I have no idea who this person approaching me is.] "I live in the woods and some loggers came from the city recently and I needed to find a new place to live. I'm here to meet fellow travelers and find people to settle an area with."
