Greetings Applicant! Welcome to The Lord of the Craft!

Before you can begin playing on our server, you need to Apply.

The following guide is designed to walk you through that process.

    First things First:

    • Create an account on our forums, found here.
    • Read our server rules, found here.

    Before Applying:

    • Due to the potential for semi-mature content, you must be at least thirteen (13) years old to join LotC.
    • Your application must entirely be your own original work. Plagiarism is illegal, and that isn’t tolerated.
    • You cannot create a noble or royal character.
    • You cannot create an otherworldly or magical character.
    • You cannot create a physically supernatural character.
    • You cannot create an omniscient-type character, most knowledge should be learned in-game.
    • Your character must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
      • Culturally, Elven characters below the age of  fifty (50) may be treated as an adolescent.
    • You can create an evil character, however, you should keep in mind that villainous characters must adhere to our villainy rules, and poor-quality villainy roleplay could lead to a blacklist.

    When posting your Application:

    • You must have completely read the server rules to be accepted.
    • Your character backstory (aka bio) must include at least two direct references to LotC lore. For help with this, consult the wiki, found here, or the implemented lore section of the forums, found here.
    • Your character’s name, age, and skin should reflect their race. For names, you are free to come up with something unique or use a generator from another fantasy universe. We understand that it can be difficult to find decent skins, so just try your best! If need be, you are free to look for something in our skin archive, found here.
    • Your Interesting Facts should include something positive, something neutral, and something negative. The most important part of this section is the negative characteristic, whether a mental trait or physical ailment, having a character with imperfections makes for better roleplay.
    • Generally, try to keep your application free of grammar mistakes and spelling errors. We aren’t looking for perfection, but a well-written application makes the reviewing process much smoother.

    After it’s Posted:

    • Keep checking to see if a Community Team member has picked up your application. You will receive either an Accepted, Pending, or Denied response. Most of the time, apps are placed on Pending, which means you need to make a few changes before you can be accepted. Once you’ve made the requested changes, send the Community Team member who is handling your application a message on the forums.
    • While waiting to be reviewed, feel free to log-on the server as a [Soul]. This is the unwhitelisted rank that applicants have, allowing them to fly around and explore the map, as well as chat with members of our community in the [WS] chat channel. Feel free to ask any questions you might have, whether they are about applying, roleplay, or whatever else you want to know about LotC. Our staff and players are always happy to help out new applicants!

Throki wants to travel to experience the world of Atlas. He feels in order to one day compose his masterpiece he needs more life experience, and when better than while young, as he knows as he ages he will need to settle properly and begin to work on caring for a family.

Throki had long felt the urge to travel the world and had been planning on exploring the land of Axios before he and his family were uprooted in the move to Atlas. Now on a new continent he does not intend to let the opportunity slip away again. Armed with little cash, a trusty lute and his bethrothed, who would not hear for a moment of him travelling alone, he intends to see as much of the world as he can to form his experiences and act as his musical inspiration and education. He particularly dreams of seeing the famous city of Sutica and the way of life there described once by his father as being culturally ‘as far from New Jornheim as possible’. Throki assumed the same could be said for Kal’Tarak.

Throki met his bethrothed on the continent of Axios, before the ruin of Axios. Upon learning of Throki’s wish to become a skilled musician his father, Orsik, approached an old family friend, a forest dwarf, to commission a lute fit for a beginner – a gift for Throki’s 50th birthday. As luck would have it, his friends daughter had recently taken to woodwork and this was a perfect opportunity to test her skills. Seeing an opportunity to form a lasting partnership the two fathers arranged for the beardlings to meet to discuss the details of the instrument. They continued to see each other long past this encounter, with Jeimhe refusing his proposals on several occasions until the ruin of Axios caused them to be separated on the journey. Before they travelled, Jeimhe told Throki that if they both made it to their new homeland in one piece – she would finally take him as her husband. And with the successful arrival at Kal’Tarak, true to her word she asked him to marry her. He agreed, and they were pledged to be married once their adventure ended.

Throki also always adorns himself with two silver rings, on his right hand. One on his pinky and the other on his middle finger. This is a sign of his devotion to the Hearth Mother – Anbella. This devotion is a key reason he desires to travel while young, as with age will come a need to turn his focus to home and hearth.

Interesting Facts:
Throki is a sucker for a pretty face, one reason Jeimhe rarely lets him out of her sight for too long.
By no means a masterful warrior, Throki's father taught him the art of the axe and sword making him capable when it comes to defending his family.
His lifelong ambition is to perform in front of Dwarven royalty - to this end he strives to create a masterpiece.
