    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is the act of utilizing information in-character that your character does not know or has not learned in-character, whether intentional or not.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is the act of a) speaking for other people ("I start talking Susie, who stops everything she does so we can have a conversation" or "I slice them with my sword, forcing them to fall over and bleed out.") and b) having your character do things that are not realistic ("My character summons a fireball, which decimates the continent." or "My 5 year old character can bench-press 300lbs.")

Allei is one of two childred born from the unlikely pairing of a Qalasheen merchant and an exiled High Elf. His father's business required the family to move fairly frequently, so from a young age, Allei had to learn to adapt to his ever-shifting environment. In his earlier years, he would spent the sparse days in rural running about, eager to explore all he could before they moved on; but this outlook changed with each discarded friend, each fleeting memory of the towns passed by. As he reached early teenage years, Allei gave up in trying to form connections that would only last a day. When not assisting his father, he would often take solitary walks, enjoying the scenery as an observer, but rarely interacting with the people he passed. He began to spend more time buried in his mother's books, a spark of curiosity igniting within him for the realm of knowledge that books and texts provided. When he reached maturity, he split from his family, leaving to seek out places of knowledge.

Physical Description: A lithe man clothed in a simple maroon robes, Allei presents himself as fairly flat and dull. He has a clean bald head and often half-lidded eyes.
Roleplay Scenario:

Allei regarded the man with a dull, apathetic stare as he deliberated his response. After a moment of thought, gentleman's question was met with a monotone, "No, I'm afraid none of those particularly interest me. Tell me, where is your nearest library?"
