Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
She slowly walks over to the pointed out cushion and sits down, her stature is tense, not relaxing. Her guard is up because she is new and always aware of the threats around her. She takes a few seconds to look around the tent and then at the old lady, observing every detail. She straightened up and cleared her throat, "I'm the youngest of three kids, two brothers. Father mainly focused on their success and quite frankly did not care about what I have accomplished. I'm much more than he expects..." she trailed off almost into a sigh but catching herself. She sat up taller and put on her strength face, hiding the emotions she felt. "anyways...I've traveled to show my true potential, find my people. My whole clan has underestimated me." Her brows furrowed as she stands up, "Can you help me find somewhere to stay the night?" She turned to look around the tent, clenching her jaw as she shuts away from the lady. She didn't want to reveal too much and risk messing up.
