Dortdorf was born on the steps of Kaz’Ulrah and was left abandoned at the age of 2 when his parents could not have enough money to spare for him, their lusting and drinking apparently plaguing them with too much debt to handle with a child. Luckily, the Frostbeard clan adopted him and has tendered to him ever since. He is now a warrior of the dwarves and a stout soldier who is willing to lose his own life for his brothers. He often wanders the snows of the mountains looking for other abandoned dwarves that he can nurse and recruit to strengthen his family of Frostbeards, and he is not going to take someone else being bullied and will often stand up for them.
