Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: "I am Durs Hollett, of the woodlands near to Norland; beyond the river and southwest of the kingdom. I have lived there much of my life, and have only recently departed following the withering of my father who contained my vigor for communication so greatly. Few have met me beyond hunters and gatherers who likely did not survive my father's deadly guidance -- he was a master of manipulation, enthralled by disruptive games and caring little to build what served no purpose but to break. He was a cruel man. And yet he made me what I am today. Now, I make way for Norland, in the desire that I may thrive beyond what my father had not the soul to seek out. A seat at the table of men."
