You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Barra eyes the old hag for a moment trying to determine why she would know him and if she could be helpful to Barras goal.
"Well..." Barra says as he makes his way over to the seat and hesitantly sits "lets see. Raised in the mines my whole life and I can craft about anything yer mind can come up with. Sound like a normal dwarf right? Well my parents always wanted a different future for me and that's exactly what they got. They would get me books to fill my time while not at the forge and I discovered many things that were beyond the mountain from reading about them. I was never real curious about most things, but that was until I came across the land of Almaris and how much more advanced the dwarves are. It tickled my beard to think that all our lives we were mining the same simple things and yet there is a land far more capable and rich with new material and knowledge. I knew that opportunity would change my life for the better. Even against my parents best judgment, I decided to leave. I've travelled a very long distance from home and miss it already, but this country is very beautiful and I cant wait to see what it has to offer." He smiles at the hag

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: PowerGaming is doing unrealistic or Godly actions such as "I will do 2 backflips and land and cut your head off immediately" so to avoid this, we simply must think of what our character CAN do and what they WOULD do. For instance "I would run towards the opponent and attempt to swiftly swing at their neck" this is more realistic and it gives other players a chance instead of being unfair and cruel.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: MetaGaming is you making your character more powerful based off player knowledge rather than character knowledge. It disrupts fair gameplay because it goes against the roleplaying aspect of the game and it takes the whole fun out of it. If a person decided to randomly climb a mountain because they knew there was a ring up there, it wouldnt make any sense and would break the immersion of the game. Same with spells. If a wizard knew every spell ever, then whats the point of even roleplaying in the first place?
