Biography:

Killian Smith was born in Talon’s Grotto, moving to Sutica three years later. Killain was always around water, and being born in Talon’s Grotto, he was born with a love of the sea in his heart. When he was 6 his family sold Killian to a old merchant to pay off their debt to him. Their debt was from buying medicine to save Killain’s younger brother from an unknown illness. Killian was in service until he was 16 to the merchant, day in and day out standing in the markets trying to get people to buy from the old man. When he was 16 the merchant died. however, Killain was left to his son, who’s name was Jonathan, he was a fisherman with a large vessel and crew. Killian and Jonathan became best friends despite the fact that one was in service to the other. They sailed together for 7 years. Jonathan had met a beautiful young woman named Margret who had joined in the crew, Margret and Jonathan had a great relationship and were going to even get married soon, however soon Margret grew bored of Jonathan and her eyes shifted to Killian. Killian and Margret fell in love and kept their relationship hidden from Jonathan until one faithful night on the seas. The happy couple was fighting. Margret brings up that Killian is a much better man than he ever could be. Jonathan flees the ship and goes to the tavern to drink the night away. Later that night, when Killian and Margret and holding hands looking out into the sea on the edge of the ship Jonathan returns. Jonathan got drunk and decided that enough was enough. He sneaks up behind them with his sword in hand and slices Killian’s hand off. Killian falls to his knees in pain while Jonathan grabs Margret and holds her at sword point. Jonathan gives Killian and ultimatum, leave and she lives, stay and she dies. Killian could not leave her in such a state. He swiftly picks up a large fishing hook from the deck and stabs Jonathan in the chest. Jonathan ignores the blow, most likely alcohol numbing the pain. This blow causes Jonathan to slit Margret’s throat and throw his body into the sea. Killian swipes the hook a few more times but misses. Jonathan jumps off the boat into the water, swims to shore, and hasn’t been seen by Killian or the crew of the vessel  since. Killian uses some scraps and fabrics below deck to fashion an attachment onto his handless arm for the hook and vows that he will get revenge for his lost love. In the morning Killian explains what happens and makes a large decision, he gives a speech about how he is done being a slave, he wants them all to be free men and to follow him. Killian and the old fishing crew became pirates that day and left Sutica. Killian renames the ship to Margret’s Jewel, in remembrance of her and his revenge. Killian, now age 23 spends the next 4 years pillaging and plundering to his hearts content. On his 28^th birthday he was mutinied upon and was kicked off his ship while they were sacking a village. He was on the island for a week until he commandeer  a vessel from the village people while they were sleeping. Whilst on the island he befriended a monkey that he took with him named Monte, they now go to port towns and steal just to get by. Killian has a small vessel not bigger than 2 dinghies and is now a Mercenary for Hire.

Attire: A Brown leather jacket, a green scarf he uses to cover his face, he is missing a hand and has a hook as a replacement, He wears a white shirt under his jacket, he wears matching brown leather pants with a belt. Has a Blue Tattoo of a sea serpent on his left arm.

Personality continued: He dislikes dark elves because his family was treated like trash by them. He dislikes staying in one place for too long, has abandonment issues and trust issues.
