    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using information obtained out of character to influence actions in character.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is when your characters abilities are unrealistic, or impossible. for example: your character being able to run infinitely without ever having been much of a runner in character.

Varrent replies: " thank you for the welcome. I'm here to find work, and hopefully open a general store eventually. first though, I have make the money to do so. do you know of anywhere, or anyone that might need some help around here?"  The well dressed man proceeds to give Varren directions to the nearest tavern, and asks: "have you thought of a name for this future shop? Maybe I'll look out for it.".  Varren grins, and answers "The found gem."
