    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Using info that you learned out of character to better yourself or to use in character. Say you see somebodies name as their nametag and then say their name irp without them telling it to you. That would be metagaming.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When you force somebody to do something from your rp action or just plain out killing them. Say Jim is fighting Ben, and Ben throws a punch at Jim and says he broke Jim's nose without letting Jim respond. That would be powergaming.

Otto was the only child of a small farming family in the Haense/Markev area. All he knew was farming and fishing, until the Red Vaeyl came. He quickly ran away trying to avoid it as much as possible. He eventually found a nice wooded area and stayed in a fallen log for a while until he heard of one final push against the Red Vaeyl. He knew very little about combat, he had no friends and nothing to lose, so he decided to join. He was there for the battle but stayed in the back and tried not to be noticed by anything or anyone. As the battle was coming to an end and the forces were being pushed back he didn’t know what to do so he instead just followed the rest. When they ran from Atlas because of the blizzard, Otto was hurt by an object that hit his head during The Ravines of Serrimor, and awoke in Arcas.

Physical Description: About six foot, and 213 pounds. He has a slightly muscular build, and very agile movement. He has a smile that is hard to remove from his face.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
