Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

*Yae visibly tenses, immediately put on edge, she didn’t know this woman at all, she began to think to herself while trying to study the strangers face, she didn’t look that threatening but something was amiss*
“Me..?” *her voice soft before she cleared her throat* “Ahem.. What do you mean, expecting me.. How long have you been waiting..? Why me exactly?”
*Yae wasn't the type to trust easily and she certainly didn't want to give her whole life story to this random women... no matter how harmless she seemed.. but Yae did need information from the woman, so sharing a little bit couldn't hurt*
"..My story?.. well.. I.." *She thought carefully to herself trying to give away little information while it being some what decent, she began to hesitantly speak up* "Uhm.. I was imprisoned for a few years after my village was raided.. by humans.. and i've only recently escaped.. and that's what brought me here.. now.. uh do you have any proper clothes..?" *she had hoped that was enough information to suffice*
My character doesn't really like to talk about herself so I'll explain it for you!
Yae fellows grew up in a cold village with the climate that's similar to Northeastern Siberia, it was a rural little town with a population of around 64 people, later on a group of humans joined the settlment, around 3-4 people, they were happily accepted into the town treated like they were apart of the family but trust should never be given that easily, those humans then brought more a huge group that the town couldn't take care of so the humans known as the imperial knight's they were from a fallen kingdom, they took over the town in one night, enslaving yae and all her family and friends.
After years of being tortured there she was sick, sick of it, reaching a breaking point she attacked one of the guards getting a the key to free herself and once she escaped she sprinted, she didn't stop running at all, it didn't matter that there was a burning in her chest or it that the cold air made it impossible to breathe, she wanted freedom, her bare feet freezing in the snow; her determination to get out of the hell she was in was stronger than any force that could try to stop her.
Once Yae finally stopped hearing the shouts and footsteps of the imperial paladins she finally took a break, catching her breath.. she continued on with her travel taking days finally ending in the swampy town from the start and thats where the story begins!
