Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
The woman would walk forward, letting the tent drape close behind her, looking towards the cushion she kneels down, resting herself still posed for anything.
Corliss: "Expecting me? How generous of you elder one."
She moves herself slightly, making herself more comfortable before focusing on the old woman's eyes, making sure to uphold the honor of eye contact.
Corliss: "I hail from mountains of my forefathers, I only just recently arrived here, looking for a way to quench my purpose of duty. My Trial of Service lead me down the path of the blade, forged in valor and hardship, however as all do I prevailed, slaying a beast within the caverns that rested outside of our honored homelands. I have always known the blade and sword, taking it rightfully and pridefully in stride with a rekindled purpose in every travel or adventure I beset myself upon."
She stands stretching slightly, glancing back towards the entrance of the tent. Corliss: "Now I must digress, as valor can only be earned if I do not rest idlily."
