Loran lived in a small high elf family as a only child. While growing up he was harshly taught that religion is a illusion to justify peoples actions. This lead Loran to become a atheist, though he never told anyone to not believe in their own religion. He was very fascinated by magic seeing most of the adults using it. Seeing he was a child, he was never taught but was still fascinated by it. He grew up very intelligent, however he was physically weak even by high elf standards. Due to being weak, though not true the other kids would tease him about being a half breed. This lead him to being a kinder person to most races of atlas than normal high elfs would. his family not being very wealthy, he was asked to leave by his father to find his own path in life.
Loran has usually gone from town to town staying at inns and exploring the land around him. A few years later, and running low on coin, he heard of the Dominion of Malin being mainly comprised of elfs. He heads there in hopes to have a place to call home.
