Ryker was born in the outskirts of the Empire of Man. His father was a warrior who was killed when he was 10, and his mother died of a disease when he was 14. Before his father and mother died his father taught him the basics how to wield and fight wield a sword. His mother taught him fist fighting that she learned from her father, Rykers grandfather (dead). After their deaths Ryker lived on the streets and begged for food. He would practice the moves with the sword his Father taught him in the woods with a stick. Ryker got into a lot of fights with shady people and got a scar from one of his encounters. One day Ryker hopes to be a high respected and great warrior.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
