Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

She slowly sat down on the cushion, her hands gently holding on to the bottom of her dress before letting go once she fully sat down. She focused her gaze on the old woman. She remained silent, contemplating her next words. She didn't wish to speak too much with her. ``I had a simple life. Really. I lived with my parents, and my little brother. . . Though I did have another, but he was - . . is older. I have not seen him in many years and frankly my parents refused to speak about him. All I could do was speculate on what really happened, and still I have not figured out much.`` She shook her head, her hands now resting in her lap, her fingers intertwined together. ``Anyways. My parents were not a happy pair. My father was irrational, had a short temper and was not really there for us. He had his title, his money and yet instead of creating happy memories with all that he had. . . He made bad decisions. Decisions which have broken my family.`` She pressed her lips togather for a moment before clicking her tongue. ``I left that place. I was still rather liked in the town we lived in, I was able to get some help with leaving. -- And, well here I am.`` Her eyes flicker around the inside of the tent. ``Perhaps I will be able to find a purpose here, live a good life. That is what I hope for, at least.`` She offered the woman a small nod, along with a subtle smile.
