Nesy's eyes trailed to the gentleman who approached him, his eyes wide to the sight of the din of people who stormed through the markets. The scent of fruits overwhelmed his smelling senses. Then his eyes locked onto the man finally who seemed to await patiently for his answer. "O-Oh h-hey." Nesy said, he raised his left arm and rubbed it at the back of his head. His chest throbbed, blood humming through his veins and sweat trinkled down his forhead; Shivers slithered through his spine. , "W-Well... I came here to explore... Ehe. So basically, I'm new here and I'd love to be shown around if you do not mind?" Asked Nesy, while his eyes were pointed down to his feet.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Instead of using your character as a source of gathering intelligence, you basically use your "OOC" knowledge and apply it to your "IC" knowledge. For example: You use your OOC knowledge(Real life knowledge) and apply it to your character's knowledge, basically breaking the third wall in a way to get to your knowledge, instead of getting it by IC or figuring it out by IC. Not by OOC.
For example, someone tells you OOCLY you murdered someone but then you apply it to IC without roleplaying it to find out, which is metagaming.

How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Literally being overpowered and unbalanced characters that ignore weaknesses entirely, basically mary-sues/Gary sue. You also force emotes onto other characters within or without combat, or performing unrealistic and godly actions that defy the very nature of roleplaying.
