As a child, Chiefan grew up in the city of Bastion of the Westerlands in Axios before it had been attacked by undead. He managed to escape and lived in the wilds until it had come time to migrate to Atlas. Chiefan is a Heartlander and a weary knight having a sort of mid-life crisis if you will. He rarely shaves but keeps clean otherwise, and is no stranger to the drink. Often allowing beautiful women to lead him astray in his missions, he decides he needs a life change. After his epiphany, Chiefan journeys to Hemsburg to reunite with his brother,  Milo Niwarsay, after hearing of close relatives still alive in the town. As humans only live to be  about 150 years, Chiefan is worried his life has not been fulfilled. As he reaches 41 years of age he realizes in order to learn more about himself he must learn more from his relatives. However, this land is dangerous and discovering one's self is no less treacherous. So Chiefan needs his brothers help.  As reward for helping Chiefan fulfill his life, he has sworn to fight alongside Milo, his dear brother, and follow him on any journey, no matter how imposing. The land of Atlas has much to offer. Nevertheless, Chiefan is confident he and his brother should have quite interesting adventures and many tales to tell when they're old and crippled.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
