Zave grew up on a farm with his parents, he had no siblings. Zave's father never approved of his son because of his small and weak body as a child and never let him work in the fields with him. Although against his fathers wishes, Zave watched his father work every day and picked up on skills whilst doing so. At the age of nine, his mother died from a plague that spread through his town. Shortly after his mothers passing his father abandoned him during a trip to the city of Providence. All alone after leaving the unfamiliar setting of the city, Zave went out to travel and learn more about the world. He traveled between towns, living on what he had, which wasn't much. Zave scraped buy for years. When he was 16, while traveling a dirt road in the night, he was attacked and robbed of his little money by a group of bandits. The next morning, Zave was picked up by a merchant who brought him to the nearest town. He was brought to the towns doctor, Horest, this doctor was kind and took in Zave. Zave learned all sorts of things living with Horest, perhaps one of the most important things he learned was Canonism, he began to worship Canonism and it's church. During the next five years Zave worked as Horest's assistant learning all about medicine and how to help people and to be a good person. Once Zave turned 21 he decided to leave his town and begin his life, he traveled back to the city of Providence in hopes of beginning a journey towards his future.
Zave responds to the man with, "I've traveled here to establish my wealth, I plan to establish something of my own and work hard to achieve my goals. Do you know where I could buy some food?". The man replies with "Right this way sir, for a dearest friend of mine is the proud owner of a meat stand. How do you like meat son?". To which Zave replies, "I do love me a good steak." "Good, very good indeed sir, right this way" the man says as he begins towards a nearby stand.
