Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Braxton's eyes bounce from the old woman to the cushion for a second and then back again. "No, I think I'll stand for the time being."
The hag responds, "As you wish. Tell me your story."
"I am just a young man who is trying to find some peace in his life. I've lived on the streets of Norland since I can remember; stealing food and begging on street corners. I became involved in the gangs there once I was 13 and they had me as drug runner before I eventually got caught and locked up for 3 years. I'm 18 now and I just want out. I'm looking to be a farm hand somewhere so I can make a bit of coin. Eventually I'd like to become a merchant and own my own stand or business, I just hope that the criminal life will stay in the past."
