In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It's the act of discovering things that in normal roleplay situations would never be discovered. It's knowing something that shouldn't be known given the character's limitations, like discovering things the character couldn't find out if it weren't by sources outside the roleplaying. Example: I saw a barrier guarded by an ancient rune on one of my adventures and I know exactly the message it conveys because I read it on the Wiki, so I know how to break the barrier and get the treasures it keeps.
In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It is the act of performing absurd and unreal things within the game's universe. It's doing something that would be impossible to do in roleplay given the character's limitations, like becoming overpowered all of a sudden. Example: *After stand next to a dragon, Clearon swings his sword, cutting off the dragon's head instantly*. It's impossible to face a dragon, let alone hit kill it.
    Status: Accepted

Born into a humble family, he was taught the arts of agriculture and livestock and worked from early age in the countryside, until one day he just decided to leave this life and explore everything this world could show him. This curiosity to see the world came from the stories he had read in books and that he heard his mother tell him, stories about dueling knights, wars and other things involving militarism and adventures. He didn't want a mediocre life tied to a piece of land.
His father, who was a brave soldier, decided, by choice, to leave this life and live far from danger in the countryside with his son, Clearon, and his wife, Clearon's mother. Because of his background as a swordsman, Clearon had the opportunity to learn some sword skills and developed his swordsmanship to a pretty decent level for self-defense. After manual work, Clearon practiced the fencing that his father had taught him in childhood. It wasn't as absurd as the swordsmanship of a royal guard, but it wasn't second to an ordinary soldier.

Despite the sword training, his mother, a student of magic and knowledge, taught him to seek information to improve his cognitive abilities and, who knows, one day awaken a talent for a great magician. As a result, Clearon often studied at night things It could be necessary to know, such as concepts of military strategy.
The son of a warrior and a mage, Clearon developed basic swordsmanship and cognitive skills. Also aspiring to grow in life, he studied what he could about The Art of War under his father's tutelage and with the few books a peasant would have access to. Not only that, for the day when he could have some knowledge about the art of magic, he just started getting things that would help develop his talents, such as intelligence due to cognitive games and insight due to board strategy games.

His bloodline is somewhat strange and rare. From his father comes the blood a great swordsman warrior. From his mother descends his wizard blood. His father inherited a strength which is many times larger than that of a normal human. His mother inherited the magical talent from a great lineage of wizards. In the end, Clearon had the similarities of his mother and father. As a result, he possessed almost the physical power of his father and a talent for magic unexplained from his magician bloodline. How his parents met and developed such a mixed bloodline creating a monster is unanswered. Perhaps some mysteries hidden in Almaris can reveal a story behind this merging of bloodlines.

There were no adventures and things that generated large doses of dopamine in a peasant's life. For this reason, his story as someone who will become an expert in the world and an adventurer will begin at the age of 20, when he left the protective wings of his parents and sought to take his risks to become someone capable of seeing the world as it really is, beyond the books.

Hi there! As you can see, your app is almost ready! Just a few changes you need to make, but don’t worry - you are doing great!

  • Your Character Biography states that your character has knowledge of potion making, or alchemy as it's known, and that is a learned feat on LOTC that your character may not know during application! Beyond that, in your biography it states that you're descendent of both Iblees and Dragonfolk, I'm afraid those things aren't lore compliant for application characters! You also wrote you had orcish blood but took on the appearance of a human with orcish strength. That's not lore compliant, and I recommend you play a human or orc instead for your first character.

  • Please make sure that all dialogue in your Roleplay Scenario Response is surrounded by quotation marks.

  • Your Skin is not up to LotC standards. Please take a look at our Skin Archive for references and free skins that you may use if you’d like.

You’ll be given 24 hours to correct the changes above. Once you are done correcting, please contact me!
