Oroc Yunkathu was born in 1745 to a female servant and an unknown man in Krugmar. People avoided him and his mother because of this, and he often had no friends. He thought that if he became strong enough, people might start to like him. When he was 8, he was in the desert hunting for an animal. He thought he saw something in the distance, but thought nothing else of it. What he saw turned out to be some humans, who took him captive. They asked him if he was a member of a strong clan, and Oroc said no. Seeing as he had no monetary value, they locked him up with chains and beat him. Oroc overheard them talking of Haense, and Oroc decided that he would do his absolute best not to go to this place, for he did not wish to go to the home of his captors. His mother soon found him and the men, and she hit both of the men hard enough to knock them out. After this, he began to hate humans and thought of dwarves and elves similarly. He was left with a scar on his back that pained him in all battles and reminded him of his past everyday. After this incident, people began to talk with him, as they felt bad for what happened. Oroc began to make friends, but often distanced himself from them so he could train alone. He wanted to be strong now more than ever, for he wanted to be able to fight back if he was taken captive again.
When he turned twelve, he officially became a man. In the next four years, he became stronger than ever, learned more about orcish history, and began to see his mother less often. When Oroc was 16, his mother died. He mourned his mother’s death for months. Now 18, Oroc still retains his wish to become stronger, and he will do so no matter the cost.
Oroc looks at the man questionably. He says, “Mi come here for mi own intirestz: intirestz that du not enclude lat.” With that Oroc pushes the man aside and continues walking. He looks back at the man and tries to see if the man is still looking at him or not.
