Zestari had... absolutely no idea how she ended up on this boat in the first place. She was fairly uncomfortable with the idea of travelling over large bodies of water, and the diversity of the sailors made her both cautious and uneasy. The appearance of the city before her made her head reel, and she staggers back to lean on the wall of the ship, trying to process all the new sights, sounds, and smells. So many things, all so foreign to her.... the only thing on her mind right now was to get back home. The crowd from the boat pushes her off and towards the city, despite her attempts to get back onto the boat. Those attempts stop, however, as she notices the gentleman approach her. His dress was... certainly peculiar. She takes a moment to stop and raise an eyebrow, assessing the peculiar... shiny... things on his feet, and the artificial clothes he wore. The smile comforted her, and suddenly she decided that if anyone could help her, it would be this gentleman.
"Ah- yes, um... Thank you. Yes. Um- none of those things! Actually. I um. Need- want. I want to go home. Back home to uh- I don't know yet. Not here. Back in... uh... with other wood elves? Other wood elves, yes. I don't know how I got on that boat, sir, I truly don't- but this place is terribly, terribly overwhelming to me, I.... what is this place? .... Actually, no, please don't answer that. I need to go home. Please."

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming is using out of character knowledge with your character in game. This can be extremely harmful to immersion and fairness, and can be as minor as knowing someone's name without them telling you or as major as knowing the weakness of some gigantic monster without any in game research. This can generally be prevented by only researching things on a need-to-know basis, and if you're not sure if your character would know something, it's safer to ask.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is, in the simplest terms, deciding the outcome of a situation by controlling someone else's characters without their permission. Some examples can be forcing someone to miss an attack, refusing to be defeated, or magically being powerful enough to take down an enemy that should be much stronger than the player. It can also be defined as farming repetitively to force someone's way up the ranks, or consistently seeking out the most powerful items and positions.
