    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: When you utilize knowledge from outside the roleplay aspect of the game to your own advantage, such as overhearing someone's conversation or reading the wiki to acquire the knowledge your character does not. As a DM the best example I can give is a player overhearing something told to one player only and using that knowledge with no explanation to how they acquire that information besides cheating

I've decided to leave my old life behind me and look for a new start, hopefully soon you'll be able to visit my library once I've gotten it made" he says with a genuine look of determination despite his exhaustion from the trip

He picks his backpack up and looks at a stall with some old books, looking for anything valuable, takes a few coins from his pocket and asks the seller "How much for this?" as he gestures to the leather-bound copy of a war scribe's journal that caught his interest
